Hi Fiero,

I wanted to add target="_blank" to href to open a link in a new page.
for example here (line 51-52):
Code:
var writeLineUnderJava="<FONT face='Verdana' size='1' color='#cdcdcd'> Install the DevalVR plugin for an optimal viewing experience <A href='http://www.devalvr.com/install/'>click here to install</A>, and <A href='javascript:reloadPage()'>click here after installing</A></FONT>";

like this:
Code:
var writeLineUnderJava="<FONT face='Verdana' size='1' color='#cdcdcd'> Install the DevalVR plugin for an optimal viewing experience <A href='http://www.devalvr.com/install/' target="_blank">click here to install</A>, and <A href='javascript:reloadPage()'>click here after installing</A></FONT>";

... just like in a .HTML file.

After adding this tag to all HREF's I've uploaded the script to my server and it did not work anymore.

Am I doing something wrong or ... ??? :roll:

Regards,
Aris

The url http://www.devalvr.com/install/ does not open any page, this link only download the installer, you can test it. So, _blank option has the same behavior than without _blank.

Anyway, you can use target='_blank' instead of target="_blank" into the text string.

regards! :-)

yes, you are right, it dose not open any page.

But I wanted the _blank feature for this part of the code:
Code:
var str='<DIV align=center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="WIDTH: ' + sizex + '; HEIGHT: ' + sizey + '" width="'+sizex+'"

height="'+sizey+'"><tr><td align="center" valign="middle">';
      str+=installfont+'This content requires '+ pluginname +'.';
      str+='<BR><BR><A href="'+ pluginurl +'" target='_blank'>click here to install '+ pluginname +'</A>';
      str+='</FONT></td></tr></table></DIV>';
      document.writeln(str);
   }

Especially for Flash option.
On my homepage (www.360virtualtour.ro) I have a small iFrame with a pano. When a visitor dose not have Flash 9 or higher installed it shows this text(if Flash is selected): "This content requires Adobe Flash Player Version 9.0.0 or higher..
click here to install Adobe Flash Player Version 9.0.0 or higher."

When I click on the link to install Flash it opens the page in the same small iFrame ans it's difficult to find the download button.
I've tested this in IE after I disabled the Shockwave ActiveX control.

Any suggestion?

Regards

Oh, yes, you are right. I added target="_blank" in 293 line of latest version. It's better to open installation page in other browser window.

Thanks!
