I have an Intel iMac with MacOSX 10.4.10 and have tested the last version of detectvr.js
Remember, if you want to test Spi-v, you must include SPi-V.dcr file, download the latest version at http://www.fieldofview.com
, but Shockwave player only works in PowerPC Macs, because it does not exist a Shockwave player for MacOS(Intel) http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
I must open my browser with Rosseta to emulate a PowerPC Mac.
With Safari, it works, but I can't select any viewer, only "Autodetect" option is selected (same than you). I think this is a problem with cookies. I will search more info about how Safari saves its cookies to fix this problem.
With Firefox and Opera all works fine, except PangeaVR plugin, it crashes my Firefox (I tested with 1.5 an 188.8.131.52) and Opera (9.22). The browser closes with a system error (I don't know why, maybe a bug in Pangea with Intel Macs?).
PangeaVR only works with Firefox and Opera if I open the browser with Rosseta. I select the program icon and: Ctrl+mouse click->Get Info->Open with Rosseta
So, for Firefox and Opera:
- Automatic: OK (QT is showed)
- QT: OK
- Flash: OK
- Java: OK (but Java does not work with Rosseta)
- Spiv: Shockwave plugin only works with Rosseta
- Pangea: Only works with Rosseta (without Rosseta it crashes Open and Firefox)
I think you have a PowerPC Mac, yes? Sorry, I can't test in a PowerPC.
About PangeaVR problem, you can see detectvr.js code. PangeaVR uses the same file than QT, you can use writecode2 function if you want to define a different file for PangeaVR:
function writecode(qtfile, devalvrfile, javafile, flashfile, spivfile, sizex, sizey)
writecode2(qtfile, qtfile, devalvrfile, javafile, flashfile, spivfile, sizex, sizey);
function writecode2(qtfile, pangeafile, devalvrfile, javafile, flashfile, spivfile, sizex, sizey)
For QT and PangeaVR I use a MOV file created with Pano2qtvr. Maybe this file format is not compatible with Pangea, you can ask to Brian for this error http://www.pangeasoft.net/pano/plugin/index.html
