Can you add sound support ?:cry:

Maybe you could have two versions (for small download size ) .

Thanks!

Sorry Usor, this feature was delayed too much. I will add a first support for WAV files.

I suspect there are many of us waiting for this facility, it would be nice even if its is only WAV to start with, MP3 of course makes a lot of sense as well.

Hello,

Here is solution to add sound to your panoramas/virtual tours.

Sample .DVL code:
Code:
(pano1)
{
   type=mov;
   FILE=panorama1.mov;

   INCLUDE=sound;
}

(sound)
{

   type=include;
   IMAGE= sound,sound1, 1,0, -70, #69,80, trans,soundfile;
}

(soundfile)
{
  type=image;
  FILE=sound.swf;
}

To convert your sound files from .aiff, .mp3, .wav to .SWF you can use this software: Audio2SWF (price $9.95, Mac and Win) - http://www.verticalmoon.com/products/au ... io2swf.htm

If anyone knows a free audio converter .* to .SWF please post here.

Best regards,
Aris

Aris I guess this is just a background sound your suggesting ?
The type of sound source coding I am looking for is directional sound, so that as you turn the Pano different sounds fade in / out. In this you need to specify an number of channels and the direction of maximum sound for each channel as a minimum.

Hi Geoff,

Yes, that is a background sound but with the possibility to stop the sound.

Sample:

A directional sound would be awesome! :D

Flash Panorama Player has directional sound and I think other flash players.

I think this is a smart workaround, but I'm also waiting for a built-in support for (directional) sound. I think it's a bit awkward having to convert Wav/Mp3/others into Swf just to have some ambient sound effects in our panoramas - and apparently it even costs nearly $10 to do so.

No offense, of course... I'm quite sure you would agree with me. :wink:

On a side-note: I have some Flv-files that I would like to play sound from, but unfortunately they're not supported by DevalVR. Also, software that converts Flv -> Swf isn't free, and the only free one I found isn't very reliable.

Suggest you give this program SUPER a go.

I added some basic functions to play background sounds in latest standalone player http://www.devalvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4602

I must test more this feature and add it to the plugin too.

regards!
