DevalVR support

as we found out, only as administrator(not a good idea for security reasons) or main-user DEVALVR can be installed when needed the first time.
is it sure that latest version is used when i see ... 20(today) in ?-menue?

Yes, the version number in the menu is the version of the installed plugin.

If you have the "auto-update" checked, the plugin update to the new version if it exists. But, the auto-update only check for a new version once a day, and only when you open a DevalVR page in Internet.

You can select "Update now" in the context menu. If "update now" change to disabled, you have the latest version.

i can see version 16. 20 is newest. if i dont see this tommorrow then restricted account cannot update. that would be really sad.
you should at least mention rightclick-option in ?-menue

The result is the same that installing. Firefox/Opera update always. IE only updates in no-restricted account.

To check autoupdate: You can change the system date, enter in DevalVR page in Internet (for example www.little-planet.net) , wait about 30 seconds in panorama page, close the browser. The next time that you open the browser, the new version will be working.

i forgot that browser-rebooting. the loading bar is standing still. but this will be gone after rebooting. thanks a lot. will work a lot to bring alive my pans of the last 13 years with dvr. on the net only a poor show can be seen.

i have set autoupdate. i went back to main-user-account. but it did not update autocatically. what is the procedure. should i wait 1 minute, should i wait until the daily update is taking place. anyhow sensationel fact at least in FF approved is: no need for rebooting. newest version could be seen when checking with right-click. i will test(or anybody else can do) the same with iexplorer.
is rebooting of browser needed to have newest plugin in action? do i err and i can only see newest plugin version nr but in fact it is not yet in action? if you could post here info about new implementations which we can see, then we can check if really reboot is needed to see these new actions.
btw: in main-user, when updating takes place, a yellow-popup is telling to reboot.

In Firefox is not needed to reboot the browser.

In Internet Explorer and Opera is needed to reboot.

It is not necessary. The version number showed in context menu (right button) it shows the plugin version that is running.

you mean in the right-click menue?
you mean a page with devalvr-image?
ok i seems my problem is that i am always in restricted mode, so updating cannot take place.

this is my report. as main-user i have updated myself because it will not automatically when loading.
1. by clicking update now or
2. by refreshing site.

so why the autoupdate-option(checked or unchecked)?
in ie is still old version. i could test your explanation there.
so if rebooting in ie explorer is needed, what is autoupdate for if i must do it manually. maybe leave autoupdate know away and change to update now/reboot(iexpl.only)

autoupdate seem to have no function yet. armando is certainly working on it. we will wait.

i have autoupdate checked in one browser, not checked in the other. we will see what that means for next version.
